Thought on Snow White (2025)

Claire and I went to see Snow White on Mar 28, 2025. We were the only one in theaters — a harsh reality my inner kid is still grappling with — and we went in with pretty much zero expectations. I was coming off of a stressful day at work that did not end neatly and I had an even tougher day ahead. So I was really trying to clear my head and just enjoy the movie for what it was meant to be — in other words, keeping an open mind.

Pretty quickly in though, around the time the dwarves first appeared on screen, I realized it was probably gonna be a simpler, maybe childish adaptation. But I kept trying to stay invested, and the thing that helped? The music!

This score is so good, I’ve had it on repeat all weekend. Particularly loving this order:
